“We want you to know exactly what you get for your money when you choose us and why your already stretched wedding budget should be stretched that little bit further to pay for a recording that you will be proud to show to your family and friends for years to come.”
In the same way that it would be unthinkable to ask an amateur photographer (no matter how good he or she was) to take your main wedding photographs,  it is a false economy to use an amateur videographer to record your 'big day'. Not only will it be a worry to you on the day itself, you are also likely to very disappointed when you see the final results. Most wedding videos which are taken by a friend are put in a drawer soon after the wedding and are never watched again.
So what is the
Sound Sense' difference......................?
Experienced Professionals
Most hobbyist videographers feel awkward about being asked to film a wedding. It is difficult to say "no" to the request and many people put in this position worry about the responsibility for weeks before the event. Often they do not realise the potential problems and on the day itself and make classic mistakes.  Some are nervous and over anxious about the responsibility and so they appear conspicuous and uncomfortable in front of their fellow guests.
We use a small team of professional cameramen, each of whom have many years experience in the field of wedding videography. They understand all aspects of wedding protocol and they know from experience exactly where to be and when in order to capture the 'special' moments of the day.
Hi-Technology camera equipment.
Domestic camcorders are limited in terms of specification and design and are not suitable for use in a professional context such as wedding videography.  We use the latest 'state of the art' cameras which have particularly good performance in low light conditions. This enables us to record with the minimum use of additional lighting which is an essential requirement as most churches or civil venues will not allow lighting of any kind to be used during the ceremony.  The  cameras utilise a high specification digital format in order to ensure high definition pictures and excellent sound.
5 Copies as Standard
We offer 5 copies as standard as part of our package price because we believe that a quote for one copy is unrealistic and is a means of hiding part of the true cost of the project.  Your finished copies can be supplied to you either on standard VHS tape, or (if the HD option is chosen) on Blu-Ray disc. DVDs and Blu-Ray give you all the benefits of modern digital playback including high quality pictures and sound with an individually designed chapter menu enabling you to get to the parts of the video you want to see quickly with no scrolling or rewinding!  Further copies in any of the above formats may be ordered at any time.

Radio Microphones
High quality sound reproduction is as important as high definition picture quality. Often it is the sound which lets down a wedding video because unless the camera is very close to the people speaking the microphone built into the camera will not be able to pick up the sound properly.  Obviously it is not desirable (and usually impossible) to have the camera very close to the people speaking and therefore our solution is to use a discretely placed radio microphone worn by the groom only which records the vows, the prayers and the blessing with crystal clear quality.  General sound such as the music will be recorded on separate tracks from other microphones.
A similar system is used for the speeches with the microphone fitted to a stand allowing the camera to be placed away from top table with no wires attached, usually right at the back of the room away from the speech makers and guests.
Detailed Planning & Preparation
We use a tried and trusted planning template to ensure that nothing is left to chance and that every detail has been considered carefully. Behind the scenes we will prepare a 'story-board’ and compile a 'shooting schedule' complete with timings and will know the exact running order for the day.  We will have researched the routes we will need to get to the locations and we will discuss and agree with you a format and style for the finished production.
Studio Post Production
Unless a considerable financial investment has been made, amateur video producers will have limited facilities for editing the video after the event.  Our service however, is backed up with post production facilities from our studios in West Sussex. It is here that your wedding video is treated to over 16 hours of post production time on our fully computerised ‘non-linear’ editing system which provides facilities for titling, video and sound editing, soundtrack re-balancing and still picture insertion. At this point we also add fade and wipe effects as artistic license dictates. If you have made any special requests for black & white or 'stills' sequences, these effects and many others can be added at this stage also.

Peace of Mind
There is only one chance to record your wedding day, there are no 'take-two' opportunities.  We offer you a worry-free day and the assurance that expert care is being taken to record your wedding in a calm and professional manner. We have thought of the things that can go wrong and we have taken steps to guard against them. For example, we carry back-up cameras so that in the unlikely event of equipment failure on the day, we can switch to another camera. In order to ensure that there are no surprises on the day itself, the cameraman planned to attend your wedding will discuss your arrangements with you sometime before the day in order to fully understand all your plans and arrangements.
Second Camera
Our Gold and Silver services for wedding videos are carried out using one camera only.  This provides excellent coverage of most of the day with very little compromise to the finished result and allows us to provide the client with optimum value for money.  (It should be noted that many TV programmes are recorded with only one camera.  It is the editing which gives “multi view” impression)
However, a second camera (as provided in the Diamond service) enables us to do things that we cannot do with one camera alone.  Specifically these are:-
·
Coverage of the bride at home. This is not possible with only one camera as we need to be at the church to prepare for the ceremony and to record the guests and
groom arriving.  We would normally plan to arrive at the bride’s house about an hour before she is due to leave for the church in order to capture the last minute preparations and the photo shoot in the house and garden.  We can arrive earlier than this if more coverage of the morning preparations are required.
·
A second perspective in the church.  Our preferred position for the main camera in the church is in front of the couple and to the right side (facing down the aisle) so that the camera can record the bride during the vows.  This position will in most cases give excellent coverage of the ceremony and good general shots of the congregation but can sometimes be less than ideal for the coverage of the readings and sermon.  A second camera at the back of the church will normally provide excellent coverage of any such events. Also we will be able to provide a more interesting final edit because we will have a second perspective from which to view the wedding, .
·
More complete coverage of the photographs outside the church.  At the end of the ceremony one of the cameramen will stay at the church to record the photograph session and the couple leaving for the reception, the second cameraman will leave for the reception and be there is good time to record the couple arriving.
